If DS keeps on doing this...I'll eBay him.

Any suggestions? Or bids?!

nope - but you could sell him with jess if you want to - she does the same!

Frizbe · 04/09/2005 20:45

I'd operate the tough policy on this one! whats on the floor stays on the floor if your stupid enough to chuck it when your mother has advised otherwise! he'll a) get fed up and give up eventually b) learn to climb out of his cot, in which case get him a bed (she says having no idea how old ds is!)

hunkermunker · 04/09/2005 20:45

LOL!

agree with Frizbe. Would just leave him to it

hunkermunker · 04/09/2005 20:46

Sorry - he's 17 months old.

I'll bid a tenner, I'm feeling broody!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 04/09/2005 20:46

Jess is 13 months

hunkermunker · 04/09/2005 20:46

Thing is, he's teething too, so feel bad for leaving him.

calpol and then leave him?!

bran · 04/09/2005 20:47

My ds does it too and I don't know what to do about it either, although usually he only does it once and then settles down after I've put the bears back. I also use one of those dummy strap things to stop him throwing his dummy.

yorkshirelass · 04/09/2005 20:54

Yes!! My DS throws his toy lion out of the cot but then looks so happy when I 'reunite' them that I don't have the heart to leave it on the floor!

Also throws everything off his high chair/ out of his car seat etc so am hoping it's ust a phase!!!

kath4kids · 04/09/2005 21:08

take all the teddies out and put him to bed without anything and see what he does

kath4kids · 04/09/2005 21:09

btw mine 17 months and he does it too. dd is 2.7 yrs and guess what so does she so so much for a phase and growing out of it

hunkermunker · 04/09/2005 21:11

k4k, not what I wanted to hear about them not growing out of it!

And if I put him to bed without his bear...would be worse than this!

Have given him Medised and he's asleep now. Poor boy was clutching his face Bloody teeth!

DS is 14 months he has started to throw the cuddlies out of his cot.

Though his real comfort is a muslin cloth ...went through a stage of throwing that out as well....and there was no way he would sleep without it. So came up with the trick of tying it to one of the bars

As for all the other cuddlies he throws out ...they are left...tough i say ...he will learn

kelli22 · 06/09/2005 20:17

i think if they throw it out then they have to learn that you will not keep picking it up, harsh but effective

kbaby · 06/09/2005 20:52

Id DD throws anything out of the bath or her cot I pick it up once encase it was a aciident and if she throws it again it stays on the floor.
We now have the phase though of shutting the doors and screaming until ive opened them only for her to shut them again arghh..

kath4kids · 06/09/2005 21:20

Just cherish every moment of it because they grow up andyou will wonder where all those querky little things they did have gone.

You think this is bad just wait till they get to 13 and 11 give me the two babies throwing things out of the cot, asking questions and needing attention anyday.
