Life with a 7 month old projectile vomiter? HELP!

My DS projectile vomits once a day on average. It can be caused by anything from me attempting to feed him finger foods, coughing, getting too excited etc. He has now started doing it in the car.

The frequency its now happening and the fact that there is no single trigger is becoming very difficult. At least, I am finding it really hard to just do everyday things and I'm feeling a bit bitter as it's restricting what we do and when. Twice in the last week he has been majorly sick in the car on the way to our toddler group. I have had to drive back home and sort him out (sometimes bath him)!!! I am turning into a hermit and I bet he's wondering why we don't go anywhere anymore.

Has anyone else been through this? I'm sorry if I seem pathetic but it ain't just a bit of sick- I'm talking projectile and a lot! Just to add, 90% of the time he is as happy as larry afterwards!

Thanks xx

hi goldie12

how old is your ds? My ds2 is like this, although not as bad. He's 9 months and his usual trigger is being very tired so he usually saves his projectile puking for after his bath and bedtime milk, just when he's all clean and relaxed and I'm counting the minutes until I can pour a glass of wine! It's absolutley hideous. Like your ds, he's fine straight after and will happily eat another tea and drink another full bottle before going off to sleep.

He was a very sicky baby when he was smaller, and the posseting has decreased a bit recently, but he's still very messy. He does a puke river about once a week. I asked the HV about it and she said they usually get better when they're crawling or walking and their stomach muscles get stronger and not to worry as long as he's not ill and his weight gain's okay. You have my sympathy though. I HATE being puked on. I particularly hate getting sick in my bra....
