Sleep routine v. Teething for 3 month old.

Teething has coincided with my attempt to start a sleep schedule.
I am wondering if there is any point sleep training right now after dealing with an inconsolable 13 week old every night.
She did well going to sleep (and staying asleep) with a new routine after tooth no. 1 emerged 2 weeks ago.
Now, looks like the next tooth on the way and it takes hours to get her to sleep at night.
I have also tried to have her nap in her cot instead of bouncy chair during the day; disaster. Normally jolly baby totally loses her rag.
She also wakes up from naps crying out in pain or chewing her hands. She used to have awesome long naps. So she's now overtired.
She's asleep in my arms now (and it's bloody hard work typing!).
My feeling is let her sleep where and when she can for now - she's only still so little.
Or am I setting myself up for a bigger nightmare down the line?

you could try giving her come calpol before bedtime to soothe the achy gums and jaw.

Hi tealady

Know you posted a while ago but wondering how you got on with your lo and the sleep/teething? I am going through the same thing just now with my 3 month old. He used to be a fantastic sleeper and we had just managed to reclaim some of our evening with him sleeping from 8-6 with 1-2 very quick wakenings. Now however he is teething (no teeth yet) and he won't settle in basket for more than an hour, and takes that tine again to resettle him. Have tried all usual teething remedies with no success. Have been taking him into bed with us so it is at least easier to manage his hourly stirrings but don't plan on doing this long term. To make matters worse he is getting too big for his basket and I really should be using his crib, but don't want to unsettle him further!! Did you persevere with your routine or go with the flow for a while and what were the results?
