DS3, 7.5 months won't sleep anymore - help please!

DS3 is 7.5 months. He's breastfed an we're BLW which is going well and he seems to be eating lots. He's teething at the moment too, and has cut two front bottom teeth in the past week.

We did have a sort of routine where he'd feed about 7pm, then sleep til 11, wake for a feed, the go back down til 4am feed then wake about 7am.

That was ok - copeable.

In the past week or so it seems to all gone to pot. He's feeding at seven, but not sleeping, and is awake grizzling til about 11 or so. He then sleeps til approx 2am and wakes up screaming, and then feds/grizzles til about 6am. I'll put him down in his cot and he cries and cries.

I know babies cry - it's what they do - but my other cildren were never like this. I give him Ashton and Parsons powders and teething gel, but he just won't settle.

I just don't know what to do. I'm incredibly tired and i know i'm snappy which mst be awful for my other children.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Have you tried Calpol? If it is his teeth the gels and powders may not be enough.

Could it be separation anxiety? Is he ok when u go in to him and pick him up? If it is his teeth then I'd try baby nurofen, much better for teething when my ds was going through it.

We've been going through the same with our 7 month old daughter - I feel your pain! I think for her it's separation anxiety, though she is teething too. We tried dosing her up with calpol and it didn't help. She's been really really needy recently too. I think there's not much you can do but ride it out and hope it doesn't kill you. Good luck :)

I had exactly the same happen at exactly the same time, when my 7.5 months old dream sleeper baby turned into an utter nightmare. He didn't sleep for over a week. Then 2 bottom teeth cut through. The same happened with the molars and canines, 2 weeks of no sleep for anyone that time. Nurofen before bed and then top up with Calpol throughout the night. Anbesol liquid helped too. I'd give him meds and then rub Anbesol on the offending gum for immediate painkilling. That's how I kept everyone's sanity. Could then tell it was pain that did it, as he woke up bang on time when the medicine wore out. Powders and teething gels just never did it for him.
