Hello. I need to buy a present for a 2.5 girl in the next month and i'm a bit stuck. I wonder if anyone has any advice on what 2.5 - 3 year olds play with.
Would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks

Duplo's always good

How much are you spending?

My dd is approaching that age. She likes arty/crafty stuff - painting, cutting up bits of paper (child proof scissors obv), play dough is good. She likes role playing type things - pretending to make the dinner etc. and dressing up. She likes playing with wee figures and you can hear her doing wee conversations between them and starting to make up stories. She also likes model vehicles. Books are also a good bet - but it's difficult to know what they have already.

If at all possible, you're probably better asking her parents because you don't know what she's already got.

Thanks for your messages. I'm hoping to spend about £20-30. I've already asked the parents, and unfortunately they don't have any suggestions. It's tricky, as i know that she has a lot of toys already! Books and arty stuff sounds like a safe bet. Thanks for your help.

Has she got a scooter? Dd has been showing great interest in them and there are some on amazon for less than £30.

My DD is 2.4 and is hugely into dressing up - she spends hours and hours rooting through boxes of shoes, hats and bags.

Crayons, playdough, colouring books and stuff would also go down a treat.

if you're spending that much, how about a 'pop up tent' in the shape of s a fairy toadstool etc, the early learning centre have some lovely ones
