DDs excessive sweating

My DD has always been sensitive to heat.

She has a 4 tog duvet in winter (though sleeps on top of it), wears the minimum of clothing and likes her showers and baths ice cold.

She has a few pillows which I wash regularly but as she gets older (she's now 3)I'm having to wash them every day due to them getting drenched overnight.

She also likes her food virtually cold.

My mum has always said she thinks DD should see a doctor. I am concerned, but is this something she'll grow out of, or a medical issue?

If you are concerned then do see a doctor. Many children 'run hot' - babies can't regulate temperature so well and maybe some take time to develop that ability? My own son was always the one wringing wet with sweat at the end of a play session, didn't like hot drinks etc. IME he has grown out of this mostly but he still needs lots of fluids. Do see your doctor if you are worried. Even if it isn't a medical condition they'd be very happy to reassure you.

Thanks Chil1234, I don't have a gut instinct that anything is seriously wrong but am just finding it odd.
I think I will go to the GP and ask them for peace of mind.
