Not 10 minutes since they ate their tea the kids are hasseling me for biscuits, crackers, lollies.

Will you just piss off and give me 5 minutes peace!

Every bloody day yet they said they had had enough tea...

Don't give in!

Distract, distract, distract!

And could you have tea bit later so there's less time for hassling for more food before their bath? (sorry not sure of their ages)

Early tea suits. 5 year old says "I am always hungry!"

I know.!!!

They havd had 2 crackers and now they are all busy. It rankles sometimes especially when dh and I haven't had time to eat anything.

DD is 3. She knows where the fruit bowl is. She is capable of helping herself to cereal or bread and butter. She too is insatiable.

And right on cue ds1 is asking for food.

Sometimes not hungry enough to have fruit or bread and butter.

My DS is the same. He is a skinny streak of a thing, but eats like a horse. He had sausage, mash and veg an hour ago, then yoghurt & fruit, then crackers and cheese and is now sniffing around for biscuits. No chance, sonny!

Are they drinking enough? Thirst feels like hunger. Offer a lovely glass of water.

if mine don't eat much tea I tend to leave it in the kitchen for a bit so that when they come back 10 minutes later I can re-offer! if they don't want it they don't get anything else (unless it is something that has gone particularly manky in that time!)

if they have eaten relatively well and are still hungry that's fine, they're growing kids!

They do eat really well, a good variety and good quality but sometimes I think they just want rubbish. I try and tell them to have a drink first as they might be thirsty but they think I am mad. When I tell them to have milk as that is a food style they are .
