How to discipline 22month who vomits at will

My wee boy (22m) had a lot of problems with milk allergies etc as a baby and was sick a LOT, several times a day at least, but this has calmed down the last year with finally finding a milk substitute that worked, etc. Am pretty sure he had reflux etc too.

The problem now is that he can make himself vomit at the drop of a hat, usually when he's not getting his own way.
Sending him to his room when he had been naughty, worked until he realised if he puked all over it we had to come in and clear it up....etc.

At the moment even telling him 'no' can trigger it... and its full on projectile covering a metre or so so its not easy to ignore...and coats himself too!

Makes any sort of discipline very difficult!!!

Any tips?
Thanks,
Cat

Aha. My dd (now 3) was one of these vomit-at-will toddlers! Didn't last long, though...
The thing that nipped it in the bud for us was to appear completely unfazed by it. Clean up the vomit without comment, and carry on sticking to your guns over whatever it was that prompted the tantrum/vomit in the first place. The other thing I used to do if I KNEW dd was about to vomit was carry her to the bathroom and hold her over the loo or bath, or hold a bucket or similar item under her and say very calmly, 'OK. Do your worst. The bucket/bath/loo is here to catch it.'
Do not, whatever you do, get emotional, angry or upset - just clean up and carry on as normal.
This worked for us - hope it does for you, too!
