New ideas for entertaining toddler, 2.5

Am hoping people can suggest some new ideas for entertaining my dd, 2.5? Am a bit skint this month and we're spending more time at home than usual. Feel like the usual activities (paints, glueing/sticking, stickers, singing/dancing to nursery rhyme cds) have lost their novelty and would appreciate any tips...

someone on here once linked to this has some good ideas.

find a stream and walk along it (we did this a lot in the rian last year, dressed in waterproofs, so the sunshine is a bonus) take a picnic as my dd will stop and throw stones, pick daisies and chase them down the stream etc.

den building, with a sheet and some trees

face painting and dressing up

sand pit

rice or lentil tray with implements to pass it from one tray to another etc.

t-shirt decorating

play dough (even better if you make your own, let her choose the colour and add glitter)

baking, baking and more baking

biscuit/bun decorating with hundreds and thousands, silver balls, edible transfers etc

hand/foot/body prints in paint on large pieces of paper

painign with water (ie allow her to paint anything with a brush and some water)

planting seeds

obstacle course

egg and spook/sack races

musical instruments

gymnastics

football

ballet

will think of some more - can you tell i have a high maintenance dd?!

have you tried any websites for her? dd love poissonrouge, its a french website just for kids and is very educational.

board games are a firm favourite too - we have kerplunk, hungry hippos, pairs, and a few other ones with a dice which only gos up to number 3 so its not too hard for dd. (i should have aid, she is 2.10, so only slightly older)

Love that poissonrouge site, bees.

My DD is 2.5 and loves going for walks to look for stuff. We sometimes make a list e.g. a long stick, a buttercup, a round stone, a pine cone. She likes to take a little bag. I must add that my house is full of the 'findings'.

She also likes dressing up in my clothes.

She likes making butterflies on the Cbeebies Charlie and Lola site.

We also take various toys out to see things in the toy pushchair e.g. Peppa and George were treated to a visit to see 'the big tree' in our local park.

Playing shops is a favourite at the moment.

Papier mache went down well with DS (2.7) recently- it is surprisingly toddler friendly.

He also loves spray bottles- either with just water outside, or if I'm feeling brave I hand him the polish and a cloth.

We spend time on the computer together. I ask DD what she wants to see a picture of and then look it up on google images. Eg. red tractor, red tractor with a man driving it, an owl with a rabbit etc. etc. You can get quite creative.

When that palls after a while we look at the Cbeebies website which has some good songs. Plus stuff to print out to colour in.

If you have a garden and a tent, do put it up, that keeps them going for ages. Also watering flowers, we spend ages and ages doing this. And put water out to see if you can attract birds to bathe in it.

Also fill a washing up bowl with water and bubbles and supply a dolly so she can bathe her own baby.

Pretend cooking is also a good one. Simply supply wooden spoons, saucepans, plastic cups, tongs etc.

Hi
Cornflour mixed with water is a great one as you can pour it yet it is solid enough to write in

What brilliant ideas! Thanks all
