My dp and I both love Charlie, but I am concerned its maybe just a bit too popular...can anyone suggest any alternative boy names?

I want a name with preferably 2 syllables, quite like the ie or an sounding ending but doesn't have to be.

For example, also like Ethan, Evan, Finlay.
Any suggestions?

I think all of these have a similarly insouciant Charlie-ish vibe. I like them all.

I thought you were talking about the substance. Oh dear the hour must be late. Time for bed!

It reminds me of a time I saw pet rescue on the telly. A laddish man in his thirties was asked by the presenter what he was going to call the two kittens he'd just adopted. "Charlie and Stella" he said with a mischievous grin.

FWIW Finlay is lovely but also very popular indeed. It was on our list but we dropped it because we felt was too popular.

Love Charles, with Charlie/Chaz used sometimes as nicknames.

Thanks guys and thanks for all the suggestions. I'm not altogether sure how common Charlie actually is in my part of the country- I suspect its more popular down south.

I always thought its quite important for my child to have an unusual name but now I'm kind of facing a situation where I'm not wanting to use something I like best just for this reason, which seems a bit silly! It's hard isn't it?!!
