Too boring or pretty and under-used? Was thinking Kate for short.

Also like Katrina but not sure if everyone will immediately think hurricane!

I love it. DD is Katherine and I'd decided if I ever had a daughter she would be called Katherine after reading the Anya Seton book about Katherine Swynford at a very impressionable age.

Atm DD is Katie which is sweet for a 3yo but it gives her lots of chances to play with the name and spelling as she grows up.

DD (16 months) is a Katherine. So far she is mostly Kitten or Kit-Kat, but I love the idea she can choose a variation for herself when she grows up. Her granny calls her Katia, which is kind of lovely...

My name is Kathryn. I personally wish my parents had called me something else. I think its abit dull. Occasionally i get called 'Kat' (dont really mind), but i hate been called 'Kath' with a passion!

I love it, very pretty.

Can't believe so many like it! Another name that screams old lady to me. Very common here amongst the over 70's although most that I know go by Cathy. I'm in Scotland btw. Wouldn't dream of using it for a baby/child.
