I like all of these similar names but can't decide which one is my favourite.

I am very fond of Elinor/Eleanor too but it sounds too typically English for our family so doesn't fit!

It would be really helpful to have some comments re pros/ cons of the above names

Many thanks.

Honor. Honora makes me think of Honoria Glossop I'm afraid.

Cies · 08/06/2010 13:13

Leonora

mummy2WLH · 08/06/2010 13:15

I have an Honor so that is of course the best, though clearly I am biased

OrmRenewed · 08/06/2010 13:15

Honor or Leonora.

I have an Eleanor but I find Eleanora a syllable too many

deeply · 08/06/2010 14:32

Leonora is beautiful Classic, timeless, travels well and is an all round gorgeous name.

Hedwig3 · 08/06/2010 14:41

Honor would be my favourite from your list

...but I just LOVE Nora.

Amarilis · 08/06/2010 14:56

Leonora for sure... As long as she doesn't get called Nora for short (yuck!) I may just add it to my own list..

missgenevieveclavel · 08/06/2010 16:16

Seems to be a two horse race at the moment!

Does no one like Eleanora or Annora?

Eleanora

suspiria · 08/06/2010 16:27

Leonora and Honor are my picks

2plus2more · 08/06/2010 16:31

just to add another similar one into the mix - have you thought about Eleora? It's a Hebrew name and one of my favs although hubby wasn't having it. Out of your list Honor would be my fav btw.

mathanxiety · 08/06/2010 16:54

Leonora and Honor.

Thediaryofanobody · 08/06/2010 17:05

5DollarShake · 08/06/2010 17:35

Honor/a and Leonora for me

GloriaSmut · 08/06/2010 17:57

Lovely as Leonora, Honora and Eleanora are, be prepared for your child to be known as Nora. Is a fact.

Eleanor, on the other hand is a fab name. It would have been ds1's name had he been a dd1! Honor is also a lovely name but has rather too many innudendo properties for my liking.

missgenevieveclavel · 08/06/2010 18:53

gloria- I agree that Honor could be a difficult name for a child to carry!

I actually like the nn Nora so wouldn't mind that.

Still no takers for Annora?

Honor. By miles.

freebirdx · 08/06/2010 18:58

Leonora or Eleanora.

Greensleeves · 08/06/2010 18:58

Leonora

Ewe · 08/06/2010 19:00

Honor, I think ora names sound a bit wet.

belgo · 08/06/2010 19:03

Annora sounds a bit odd - a bit like the opposite of Nora (in the way that atypical is the opposite of typical)
