Montgomery has some significance for us, but I don't think would use it, would have to be Monty.

Opinions?

I'm not too bothered by trends, because in my experience these trends seem to be London-based, and we're not in London and I doubt there will be a single other Monty in his primary school, probably the whole time he'll be there, for example. And it would be Montgomery on the birth cert. However, perhaps it does have too many weird connotations.... time for another post!

DS is 2 now and nobody has ever mentioned withnail or the simpsons. it really suits him, and i don't think it is pseudo posh sounding. If I look at his db i can imagine calling him Monty even tho he is older iyswim?
