Maisie?

Expecting baby number 2 and we have suddenly fallen in love with the name Maisie (or should it be spelt Maisy?)
Think it would be such a lovely name for a little girl, was just worried it may be a bit cute for an adult.
Any thoughts or adult Maisies out there?

Ace name. Not sure if it's short for anything though as it might be too cute for a grown up.

lovely name, prefer -ie ending.
I know a Maisie, who is about 30 and the name really suits her

Not keen. It's a bit squeaky. But it's not terrible.

I prefer Maggie, which is cute without being cutesy...

I like it as a name in its own right, but just looked it up out of curiosity and apparently it can be short for Margaret or Marjorie.

one of my cats is Maisie....

I DO like it though, but it's a BIT cute for me for an adult. Sorry.

To cute for an adult - I would only use it if you could give her a proper name too. Margaret or possibly Mabel.

Thanks, really useful hearing your comments, definately a mixed bag but overall people don't seem that keen. Still tempted tho, definately food for thought!

I love it! My surname is Maisey and people quite frequently think its my first name. I'm thinking of keeping it if we have a girl and using it as her middle name!

Lovey name - very suitable for a child and an adult - I'd love to be 35 and called Maisie !

I know of a Maisie who is probably now in her 60's. It is a lovely name and really suited her. If we had a boy i was going to use my maiden name as a middle name.

I love it and would have used it for DD2 - but DP didn't like it. He thought that it was cute for a little girl, nice for an old lady but not so good for hte in between bits!
