Lucy Elizabeth...
Charlotte Lucy or Charlotte (Lottie) Elizabeth
Larissa ???? (poss. Nell, Beth ...erm what else?)

Two v. safe choices there and one a bit further out... Which would go best with William but also sound v. pleasing in it's own right? Thanks!

I think that all three are fine with William. I don't think that names should particularly "match" anyway, you should choose a name that you really like in its own right. The trouble with trying to match is that you might end up meeting lots of other pairs of children with the same match. I think that would be rather odd.

Charlotte is ok, but not Larissa.

diddl · 21/05/2010 12:29

Charlotte Elizabeth is lovely.

AndieWalsh · 21/05/2010 14:34

Elizabeth as a first name? Much nicer than Charlotte and Lucy.

JosephineClaire · 21/05/2010 14:59

I think Lucy Elizabeth is lovely

(Lucy Claire is on my list!)x

Charlotte Elizabeth for me
Know far to many Lucys
I also know a William & Alice combo - seems popular

choccyp1g · 21/05/2010 15:25

Violet-Elizabeth

But she might "Thwceam" a lot.

Love Nell

Not really sure why sibling names need to "go together". Unless they are conjoined twins they won't be "WilliamandLucy" forever

Not taking a pop at the OP, but there seem to be an awful lot of threads where the only prerequisite for a name is that it "goes with" an older siblings name.

If you like a name, go for it.

probably because having different levels of name (e.g. Wayne and Henrietta, or Shaznay and Claude) in the same family can seem a bit odd, Cavemum. It's not unreasonable to want sibs to have names of similar calibre.

BoldChislers · 22/05/2010 13:39

I like Elizabeth and it certainly goes with William. Maybe a bit too well if ykwim. (throne and heir to).

Susannah, Juliet, Annabel, Lucia and Eloise would all go with William well without being royal.

Sheila

CaveMum - It's really just another way to help me decide. I've tried just choosing a name I like but I'm completely stuck so thought this might be a useful avenue to try. And thumbwitch has a point!

I am really quite keen not to choose an overly popular name - and Larissa really doesn't seem to be going down too well in general. Any other ideas? Thanks

Is Eloise too popular for you? Or Elodie? I do like those names. Alanna is quite rare, I think and sounds lovely (I have a friend called that but don't know of any others)

Eleanor is another one I like (can you see the pattern here? ) and you could have Nell as a nn for it.

muminthemiddle · 23/05/2010 23:16

I like all 3.
Which sounds best with your surname perhaps this might help.

sapell3 · 24/05/2010 09:12

I like Lucy Elizabeth.

I also really like Larissa (with Lara for short) but think Larissa Elizabeth has a bit too much of ss/z/th.

How about Louisa Elizabeth?
