Apparently it's not uncommon in Germany where I live, but we have strong ties to England (my whole family live there).

It is cool. Would you dare to use it though?

It's not necessarily an angel name - just add a Leonardo, a Donatello or a Michaelangelo to completely remove the chance people will think you were naming your child after an angel.
