Hi,

We are having a girl and had agreed on Ellie-Mai. But now DH has decided he wants a christian name, at least in the meaning.

Help! All the ones I have seen so far are so ..... average.

Thanks

Mariam/Maryam is lovely too, imo.

Delilah or Elizabeth....both very nice

Absolutely love Mary-Jane.
Search on Spotify for a song called Mary-Jane by Rick James.
It's on my list but I still have a bit of persuading to do with my DH (his current fave is Pearl which I'm not keen on)

Miriam is a lovely name (I have an 11-month-old Miriam). Others we liked included Bethany, Keziah, Lydia, Martha, Mary (DD1's middle name), Madeleine, Phoebe and Rachel.

If you went for Elizabeth Mary you could use Ellie May as a pet name.

My DD1 is Faith and DD2 will be Elizabeth (35+3 PG) love Mary and Miriam too. I also loved Elsie but DH thought it was too old lady but i love traditional names

You could use Aquilla (I think thats how it's spelt) LOL Its a very unusual name from the Christian Greek scriptures... Definitely not a favorite though!

Why don't you have Ellie as a shortened version of either Elizabeth (from the Bible) or Saint Eloise. Both very respectable figures within the Christian faith (well, maybe St Eloise's younger days were a bit less respectable!)

I LOVE Naomi!

Anna from new testament meaning God's grace

Sarah from old testament meaning princess
