What do you think of Hazel?
Is it classic/faddy/popular? Do you know loads of them?
I am trying to decide if I love it or not - I think it is growing on me - but then I like Hilda and Enid!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I love love love it - but won't reveal why! It's classy, organic and not too common. Many people comment 'That's a lovely name that I haven't heard often'. I also like Enid, though not keen on Hilda.

I don't want to read this post from now on just in case someone slags off Hazel!

I like Hazel!
I would describe it as a vintage classic.
It's definitely not faddy and I haven't met any other little Hazels so can't be v popular.
For me, it conjures up warm, cosy autumnal images, quite unlike Enid and Hilda which sound really harsh to my ears!

LetThereBeRock · 02/04/2010 22:49

Love it.

LowLevelWhinging · 02/04/2010 22:52

Love it. I don't know any little hazels and I know two lovely grown up hazels.

vaganova · 02/04/2010 23:12

Nice, well known, but not overused name. I knew one growing up and it really suited her.

Nevergoogle · 02/04/2010 23:13

love it. DS1 was going to be Hazel.

wukter · 02/04/2010 23:30

Love it.
Know one little one - it's a beautiful childs' name and a beautiful womans name.

KAEKAE · 02/04/2010 23:30

I think it is okay, I only know one and she's 18. Its not a name I hear much so that's always a bonus I feel.

mathanxiety · 03/04/2010 02:47

Love it. It has a lovely soft sound, and it's unusual for reasons I can't fathom.

I've always liked Hazel. It's unusual but classic.
