Middle name will be Patricia.

Still have ages left to go yet (Oct!) and don't know if it's a boy or girl but these are the names we like so far.

Patricia a family name and will definitely be the middlename, surname is one syllable and begins with F

Francesca is my favourite of those. I think it sounds wonderful with Patricia as the middle name. (In my head it's being said with an Italian accent for flourish, but that's my head for you.)

clpsmum · 30/03/2010 10:20

LOL! That is one way to make Patricia sound a bit more interesting than it really is! Love Francesca too with Frankie as nn although my DH is not as keen as i am on that one! Am sure after all this i will decide on a name only to have another little boy LOL

  1. Alice
  2. Francesca
  3. Mathilda

That would be my order of preference.

WowOoo · 30/03/2010 10:23

I like Patricia too as first name.

Eglu · 30/03/2010 10:23

Mathilda then Lola, not keen on the others.

canucktraveler · 30/03/2010 10:24

Lola

Bucharest · 30/03/2010 10:50

Francesca or Alice.
Not the others.

Runoutofideas · 30/03/2010 11:16

I love Francesca and we seriously considered it - we also have a one syllable surname starting with F and I started to think of Frankie F* sounding a bit like a children's TV character so it put me off. (Could be just me being odd though!). I prefer Alice to the other 2. How about Alicia F - I've always thought that was pretty....

LittleBunnyFooFoo · 30/03/2010 11:18

Alice as it doesn't sound right having two names ending in A imo.

PatsyStone · 30/03/2010 11:21

Love Lola and Mathilda, Alice is also a lovely old name...personally not so keen on Francesca.

However, as someone in possession of a Lola, I know that it is not very popular in theses circles though; apparently it is a porn star's name

MarianneD · 30/03/2010 11:43

Alice or Francesca would be my choice. Think Lola is naff and Mathilda nice but becoming v.popular.

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 30/03/2010 11:53

Francesca is great but I don't like it with your surname. Mathilda is great but she will have to spend her whole life saying "...with an H". Lola is cute for a little girl but fails the Prime Minister test. So my vote is for Alice. Don't know how popular it is, but it's a fantastic name.

MrsJohnDeere · 30/03/2010 11:53
  1. Alice
  2. Mathilda
  3. Francesca

Don't like Lola.

ZZZenAgain · 30/03/2010 11:55

Of those names, Francesca

OnlyWantsOne · 30/03/2010 11:55

My DD is Lola, and I plan to call my next one if it's a girl - Alice

SirBoobAlot · 30/03/2010 11:56

My aunt has just named her little girl Lola

I like all of the except Alice.

notsochickchickchicken · 30/03/2010 12:17

Francesca is lovely but not sure about two a endings, what about Frances?

I like Lola, it doesn't go with Patricia though.

Mathilda and Alice are okay.

DinahRod · 30/03/2010 12:20
  1. Alice

  1. Alice
  2. Francesca
  3. Mathilda

Really don't like Lola, I can see its vaguely cute for a toddler but I think it will date horribly

mathanxiety · 30/03/2010 16:30

Alice
Matilda

Lola and Francesca.

Prefer Frances, and Lara.

Lora69 · 30/03/2010 22:40

My nana's maiden name was Patricia Fish, your surname isnt Fish is it???

Lora69 · 30/03/2010 22:42

I agree with all of tortoise's comments and vote for Alice too

LittleSilver · 31/03/2010 00:18

Out of all of them I'd vote for Alice, it's the least popular but still a bit too popular iyswim? But I'd spell it "Alys". And before anyone jumps on me, that's actually the older spelling.

foxytocin · 31/03/2010 00:30

Alice.

the final a in the others make for 2 many A's when combined with Patricia. And Patricia already has 3 syllables so better to keep the first name short.
