Name is Limber, for a girl. It means happiness and is from the Tiv language of Nigeria. Have connections to west africa.

awful IMO

it's meaning is nice, but as a name it is horrid

Hullygully · 25/03/2010 16:29

It's beautiful, timeless, classic and flexible.

overmydeadbody · 25/03/2010 16:30

I dunno, it sounds like a disease.

mathanxiety · 25/03/2010 16:31

It also has an English meaning -- supple, capable of moving or bending, etc. I don't think you can use a fairly common English word as a child's name even if it comes up in another language with another meaning.

hully

Chyna - I like all your name choices, I feel you must spend an awful lot of time researching them. Your own name is different and special too.

mathanxiety · 25/03/2010 16:41

Lovely way to spend an evening.

notsoteenagemum · 25/03/2010 16:45

I agree the meaning is lovely but the fact Limber is an English word is off-putting to me.

Didn't you put Aphra as a name choice Chyna?
I haven't been able to stop thinking about that name since I read it, I love it

5DollarShake · 25/03/2010 16:48

PMSL @ 'flexible'.

ChickensHaveSinisterMotives · 25/03/2010 16:50

Hully, norty

AllieW · 25/03/2010 18:08

Not at all keen. I think of 'limber up'. And, were she to grow up to be slightly less svelte than average, some unkind souls might dub her "Lumber" instead. I would avoid it, personally.

How about Amber?
Of course it depends where you're going to be living/ schooling her if it's going to really stand out as strange.
