Seb always reminds me of oily skin (sebacious) - not keen.

othersideofchannel · 23/03/2010 20:31

I much prefer Remy - cool, sophisticated and no need for nicknames.

Sebastian is ok, but I really dislike Seb or Bas. They just sound unfinished and not very masculine imo.

othersideofchannel · 23/03/2010 20:31

Milo and Remy

vs

Milo and Sebastian

The former sound better together imo.

minimoonumbertwo · 23/03/2010 21:30

Ok, so Sebastian was winning, then Remy, now no-one likes either! Oh what to do...

otherside it's cool seeing them written down like that - Remy does look better I think, but then oh I just do really like Sebastian...

btw dh now thinks Remy

just realised then both boys would have the same name as drinks if we went for Remy...

Remy sounds better with Milo imo, but Sebastian is a nicer name.

Jethro?

Hullygully · 24/03/2010 17:28

Remy Martin is timeless, classic and gets you pissed quick. What's not to like?

notsoteenagemum · 24/03/2010 17:36

Sebastian definately.

I don't like Remy at all.

DinahRod · 24/03/2010 17:37

I am a proud owner of a Sebastain aswell AKA Bas, Basil, Bastian and Seabass.

paisleyleaf · 24/03/2010 20:00

Same as thesecondcoming here.
Children with learning difficulties at school were labelled remedial at the time. And called 'remies' by unkind children. Remy was quite an insult. I just couldn't use it.
Is that not the same all over the country then? As I'm amazed to see it becoming a popular name.

minimoonumbertwo · 25/03/2010 14:34

No i've never heard that before paisley and thesecondcoming, must be a regional thing??? Seems like Sebastian is the favorite again though...

Definitely go with Sebastian I'd say. I loved that name for DS1 but DH was having none of it.

Rockbird · 25/03/2010 18:11

Love both of them. Would possibly go for Remy at a push because it's not as common...even though Sebastian isn't really common...I mean popular...doh bugger it!

A kid at school had a little brother Remy and he was totally gorgeous. Have loved the name since.

AllieW · 25/03/2010 18:12

Sebastian by a mile! The only Remy I know is very mischievous and can be quite disruptive. He's about 2, I think.

PoppyC · 25/03/2010 22:50

REMY!! so unusual- sebastian makes me think of sebastian flight from brideshead.

how about sebatiEn? (french)

PoppyC · 25/03/2010 22:52

*Sebastien

MinnieMalone · 26/03/2010 09:29
