I like it. Didn't think I would but I do.

There was a 'Lance' in Falcon Crest.

HerHonesty · 22/03/2010 20:58

yama · 22/03/2010 21:01

Oh yeah - I'd forgotten about him. Who was his mate again?

LouIsOnAHighwayToHell · 22/03/2010 21:03

Martin and Lance. Now that was years ago,

Lance is dorky to me. Reminds me of someone like Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

yama · 22/03/2010 21:11

God, you guys have good memories. Martin and Lance indeed.

HerHonesty · 22/03/2010 21:15

its also about 20 years since i used the word dork too!

OP posts:
SherbetDibDab · 22/03/2010 21:16

Lance = boil

LouIsOnAHighwayToHell · 22/03/2010 21:17

Oh I am bringing dorky back. If double denim is back then so is the word dorky.

Tobermory · 22/03/2010 21:19

Eeeek!
Nonono from me.

Not a strong sounding name, just the oposite.

HerHonesty · 22/03/2010 21:19

so consensus is no? bugger i thought i had found a truly original boy's name that my husband wouldnt think was "gay"

OP posts:
LouIsOnAHighwayToHell · 22/03/2010 21:22

Plus imagine the nasal whine you can get from saying Lance.

5DollarShake · 22/03/2010 21:22

Very 80s! I wouldn't personally, but go for it if you like it.

HerHonesty · 22/03/2010 21:22

also wtf is is double denim?

OP posts:
5DollarShake · 22/03/2010 21:23

Denim trews/skirt, plus denim shirt or jacket.

Bottom and top half.

ChynaDoll2006 · 22/03/2010 21:24

Sounds like a bit of a neek.

HerHonesty · 22/03/2010 21:25

neek?

OP posts:
yama · 22/03/2010 21:44

I did a lot of double denim in my yoof.

MmeLindt · 22/03/2010 21:46

Reminds me of Lance Armstrong.

So, a 'no' from me.

Do you remember Len and Lance, the builders Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse used to do?

i'd avoid, meself

Clary · 23/03/2010 00:14

I was at school with a Lance, to this day the only one I have ever known or even heard of.

Lance Pulling was his full name. Sounds like something a trainee medieval knight might get up to

Tortington · 23/03/2010 00:16

i know a Lance, he's a twat. so that clouds my feelings on the subject

Meanbeansmum · 23/03/2010 08:02

When I hear the name Lance and I think australian farmer...I don't know why lol.

Maggie00 · 23/03/2010 13:25

Lance is not great. I prefer Saul which is kind of but not quite Lance backwards, and just sounds nicer and less awful.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 23/03/2010 13:29

Loved it - for my cat!
