What is Quim??

Clarissimo · 18/03/2010 17:51

I love Marcus, DH always sauid no though

We do ahev a Stirling which is Celtic and can hardly be called effeminate as it is all racing driver (y) (not sure if its chavvy tbh, we certainly are not and I do not know any others)

Like Donal, Killian and Alasdair a lot

GladioliBuckets · 18/03/2010 17:55

Who are your DH's heroes? Ours were mostly men with dull names (eg Johnny Marr, Jackie Chan) but we ended up agreeing on Kurt after Kurt Vonnegut, his favourite author. There was some battle between this and Gene as I had been watching Ashes to Ashes quite avidly at the time.

gegs73 · 18/03/2010 18:00

Rafferty (Raff)
Seth
Lucas
Nicholas is a popular name when I was young, but I don't know any little boy ones now.

shockers · 18/03/2010 18:03

Jethro and Jude both put me in mind of strong but reflective men.

shockers · 18/03/2010 18:03

Quite like Rollo too.

bellissima · 18/03/2010 18:03

Emil
Jerome

Clarissimo · 18/03/2010 18:04

Sadly jethro could be a nice name except it makes me think of annoying cornish comedians

And rollo is king rollo

tip one: have children young, less dodgy associations to make with names when you've been around less

Hullygully · 18/03/2010 18:06

Alfonsio Deliquescent III

Hippolytus Blanqu

Desperado Alistair

shockers · 18/03/2010 18:10

Rollo is also Dido's brother... wasn't Dido the name of an Irish queen? Parents must have had delusions of grandeur

shockers · 18/03/2010 18:12

And Jethro was the name of our coasteering guide in Wales... lovely bloke and very easy on the eye!

motherbeyond · 18/03/2010 18:21

maggie quimm is a charming term for semen! see also, sqauck, spunk and jizz

i like rafferty but it's been vetoed.
clarissimo feel same about jethro

dh has an uncle jude..i actually lov eit,but have the accent problem again.unless i tried really hard,i would say..jooooooooode! and that's not pretty is it?

something like killian, but without the kill bit at the beginning?!

OP posts:
Clarissimo · 18/03/2010 18:28

Wilaim? Thats a bit like Killian without the death threats isn't it? (non radical name alert )

Shockers we go to the copasteering area but we dont go in LOL (boys too small for a start) we do love that area though
