Doesn't sound very feminine imo.

worriersis · 18/03/2010 14:02

Ick

cupcakesinthesnow · 18/03/2010 14:09

LOL at 'Ape' for short.

Hormones have got the better of you ;) I love unusual names but personally don't think this one works. Sorry

I wouldn't - too much like the celebu-spawn Apple and Peaches

piscesmoon · 27/03/2010 17:35

You have to be joking!

remotecontroller · 28/03/2010 18:18

Pric for short I think

BuzzingNoise · 28/03/2010 18:33

Erm...no.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 28/03/2010 18:38

no

qumquat · 29/03/2010 20:21

Would you honestly like to be called Apricot yourself snares? If not, then don't saddle your child with it.

DorotheaPlenticlew · 29/03/2010 20:28

It is a pretty name for a wee girl in a work of fiction. In RL though, maybe not.

MrsTicklemouseWantsBunnyEars · 29/03/2010 20:29

are you drunk?

Ineedsomesleep · 29/03/2010 20:32

Perhaps you could name her Dorian instead?

As already mentioned, she would be called Ape for the rest of her life or maybe Kernel.

Please see sense.

seashore · 29/03/2010 20:35

Sorry, I think it's just awful, and very 80's really since it makes me think of the Geldof's and Bandaid.

cktwo · 29/03/2010 20:37

The world has gone truely mad

HollyGoHeavily · 29/03/2010 20:51

Awful i'm afraid...

Dinkytinky · 29/03/2010 23:00

First thought is a nooo...but hell if you like it. She wouldn't have to be 'Ape' - could it be shortened to 'Rico' instead? That's sweeter methinks. Fun thread [smile}.

edam · 29/03/2010 23:10

Good grief, please don't saddle the poor child with Apricot!

LittlePushka · 29/03/2010 23:11

DS 1 used to say "Ackypot" for apricot. Its a much better name than er, Apricot...

SirBoobAlot · 29/03/2010 23:30

Sorry, I think its terrible. You have to remember this individual will be a baby, then a child, then a teen etc... And while he family and friends might get used to it, what about when she goes for job interviews?

If you like different names, check out sites like this one Best of luck.

seashore · 30/03/2010 19:51

Apricot is nohing like Storm at all which is a great name.

Apricot? Why not just call her Fig or Prune or Raisin?

Life is hard enough without having to start out with that name.

Sorry!!
