I know a young Arthur and I know for a fact that his name is always spelled correctly (as most people apparently know an Arthur (eg grandad, uncle etc)). Unlike other children I know called Emilia, Jesicca, Maisy, Kiall etc.

Just go with Thor.....we used this for our cat but both now secretly wish we'd hung on for it for a boy.....such a strong masculine name....

thanks folks, we won't be going with Arthor then. better to have honest opinions about it because it's how many people will probably react if we had a boy and called him Arthor.

I know someone who has named their son this (heard from a friend of a friend) a while ago and I was almost liking it but agree that many people will just think we couldn't spell for toffee! Ah well. Plenty time left yet to choose a name...
