I really like this name. Ever since I saw the film 'This happy breed' about a London family in the 20s, 30s and 40s. My family (one side at least) are old Acton London towners. So I might be able to get away with the 1920s cockney vibe. But worried it won't go with our 'foreign' surname or that it sounds like a 90 year old biddy. Anyone know any Queenies?

I kinda like it but it may be a step too old-lady.

How about Connie/Constance ? 'twas my nanna's name. She too was a west Londoner and died at the ripe old age of 97, with all her marbles, Gawd Bless 'Er Luvva Duck

i like it but i reckon it is a nickname more than a name

I know 2 Queenies- one in her 60s and another in her 80s- it's their full name in both cases.

I like it

And can't imagine walking into a boardroom and introducing myself as anything

MollieO · 12/11/2009 23:26

What about calling her 'Bob'?

birdofthenorth · 13/11/2009 08:41

Cute, I quite like it. No guaranteeing your daughter would though, but that's a chance we all have to take!

hellokitty123 · 13/11/2009 15:48

I like it.

Can you imagine introducing yourself as Condoleezza (Rice) in a board room?

Or Barrack?

OhBuggerandArse · 13/11/2009 15:50

I know a very nice collie called Queenie. it suits her.

LuckyC · 13/11/2009 16:31

Too labradoodle, I would say?

Anything you could think of where this could be a nickname?
