Its one of these thigns like Alicia that can be pronounced in a hard or a soft way.

I knew a Fel-eesha once (pronounced like that, not spelt like that) and I always thought it would be prettier if Fee-liss-ee-ah...

Thanks, Bucharest - I was wondering how long it would be before someone said that, i's partly why I asked. So now we have a car, a French shrug and a sex act - not bad for starters!

But surely, if one is that way inclined regarding name associations, things like fellatio will spring to mind whatever a poor baby is called?

Felicity is sadly not an option due to surname incompatibility (whole name would sound a bit like Clickety-Clack).

"one" isn't that way inclined..."one" gave one's opinion on the name proposed.

If one were to hear the name Margaret, say, one would not immediately think of fellatio.

I'll change my mind shall I? And say "oh it's lovely (hun)go for it."

Hey Buch - Coco wasn't being aggressive ! she was just saying that lots of names can get some kind of association if you think hard enough....
This baby names section is tough ! we all have such different ideas about what is nice.
Personally (and am currently thinking about a dd4 name!), wouldn't go for Felicia as other dd names are a bit simpler BUT if I heard it on another child, would think it was quite sweet..so go for it Coco if you like it !

Yep well it's obviously the filthy minds of MNers, but fraid I too would think of dubious connotations. This site seems to rule out all names with 'min' and 'fan' in them as well - too much sniggering in the back row. See also orally aurelie, constance/connie etc etc...
