This is the name Jamie Theakston and wife/partner have called their 2nd son.

I'm not sure what i think about it.

What do you reckon?

It's lovely. Is it not a short version of Christopher?

Patch for Patrick is very cute too, I think Lockets nephew is one.

I know a Patrick who is still occasionally known as Patch and he's in his 20s.

Patch would have suited my ds. My grandfather was Patrick, I wish I had thought about it, although I am happy with ds's name.

So sorry, this is a thread about Kit not Patch

kitsmummy · 30/09/2009 21:19

It is a truly great name, I just hope it doesn't become too popular

SarfEasticated · 30/09/2009 22:20

Kit is lovely, as is Kip. Not sure where it comes from but I like it.

MovingOutOfBlighty · 30/09/2009 22:25

I would think about calling my next ds Kristian, Kit for short. It was a close call with this ds.

carocaro · 30/09/2009 22:31

NO NO and NO.

My friends eldest is called Kit he is 7 and hates it.

KIT KAT and KIT CAR and KITTY KITTY GIRLY GRITTY are things he is tormented with.

But then again kids always find something to have a go at whoever you are, I was tall at schoool for my age and was called a Daddy Long Leg!

But then again (again) Kit is a lovely strong handsome man sounding name to me!!

I like it. Worked with a very nice Kit. But was short for Christopher. I would give a child the full name so that they have the choice.
