I love the name Rosie. I have it for one off my characters in my book as a fullname. I think it sutis well for bouth a child and an adult. :)
I think Rose is nice also but to common and a bit boring so that is why I prefer Rosie instead.

I love Rosie. I always wanted to name my daughter Rosie but sister in law got in there first as a middle name. She also used my planned middle name as a first name Angry.

I know two adult Rosie's and I think they suit it. Not too twee imo.

I like Rosie as a shortening - as others have said above.

My favourite full "Rose-something" name is Rosanna. Do you like this instead? Much less common.

Rosie is ok but it sort of reminds me of a rag doll. Possibly because of Rosie and Jim and also because of a diabolical CBeebies program with someone called Rosie in it. She might not be a doll, but is a cartoon with colourful hair and looks a bit doll-like.

I do really love the name Rose though, and I don't hear it very often as a first name.

What about Primrose? Rose is lovely, Rosie sounds twee ( but nice) to me.

It makes me think of that M&S model Rosie double barrel surname. FWIW I like it. Call her Rosamund/ Rosalind/ Rosanna and nn Rosie

Rosie is v pretty but maybe better for young girls than a professional woman!

How about Rosanna? Nn Rose/Rosie? Then she can choose what she prefers as she grows up.

I had a cool and beautiful friend who went by Rosy, short for Rosanna. Absolutely disagree that you cannot rock this name as an adult. She did.

I know an adult Rosie.
Deputy head. She's never once mentioned anything negative about her name.

I love Rosie. I'm not keen on the more frilly, longer versions and I prefer Rosie to Rose.

I know a Spanish girl called Rosanna whose nn is Rosie. I think it works best as a shortened version of a given name.
