oooh first comment:

It strikes me that MumsNet is a bit sexist. Are Fathers allowed to become members? If so, why isn't it called ParentNet?

why doesn't he just ask on here?

BitOfFun · 08/09/2009 15:30

Good article I thought- a nice plug for us, but not ridiculously invasive.

southeastastra · 08/09/2009 15:30

lordy look at this one!

"Pregnancy: The Mumsnet Guide by Morag Preston is published by Bloomsbury at £12.99."

Looks like it's an official-ish book plug.

Great minds think alike.

Someone doesn't like 'the youth of today'.

MrsVik · 08/09/2009 15:39

They should change the tagline from 'Mumsnet - by parents for parents' to 'Mumsnet - destroying modern civilization faster than internet porn'.

Quote of the week!

Rindercella · 08/09/2009 15:49

MrsV

Good article I thought. At least there was some actual writing involved rather than a blanket c&p.

southeastastra · 08/09/2009 16:09

!

Hassled · 08/09/2009 16:20

That's got to be Quote of the Week

bellissima · 08/09/2009 18:08

'Galen' is just upset coz of his name.

MaggieVirgo · 08/09/2009 20:19

BIToffun, I'm sure your daughter won't shop at Next (except very occasionally).

Angus and Nancy!?!? we should start at thread about those two names and paste them. Individually they are nice, but they sound like pandas together....

scottishmummy · 08/09/2009 20:33

don't see what the fuss is about.MN in the press- so what?

BitOfFun · 08/09/2009 20:35

MV

TrillianAstra · 09/09/2009 17:13

Fantastic, it now is quote of the week. Fast thinking MNHQ!

MrsVik · 10/09/2009 12:01

Oh gosh! I didn't think it actually would be! Haha..

Procreator · 10/09/2009 15:45

Totally agree with you Bellissima, 'Galen' has obviously had a lifetime of explaining over why his/her parents chose that name and therefore considers the subject 'banal'. Each to their own.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 14/09/2009 16:48

PMSL I had never looked at the babyname selector, but I'm pleased to see that my PFGS will be a computer geek who shops organically.
