Girl's name inspired by Glastonbury festival

I know the MN consensus on silly names, just humour me I'm looking for a pretty word that could possibly be a girl's name (rather than a girl's name connected with the festival iyswim). Best I can do so far are Pear (as in cider) or Rain. Anyone more inspired than me?

cyteen · 26/08/2009 11:38

How about Sorted?

lowrib · 26/08/2009 13:00

SoupDragon · 26/08/2009 13:07

thumbwitch · 26/08/2009 13:08

I always quite liked Serendipity when it was on Neighbours (sad, I know) - shortened to Ren.
What about Puddle?
or Tent?

lowrib · 26/08/2009 13:08

Ooh what about my DP's invention, Decibelle (or Decibella).

He was very serious about this suggestion for our DC (he works in the music industry)
We had a boy, so never actually had to have that discussion! I think he'd be absolutely delighted if someone actually used it.

JemL · 26/08/2009 14:05

Someone on a Glastonbury message board discussing being preggers at Glasto had a DD called Avalon Constance, Avalon after the festival!

dizzydixies · 26/08/2009 15:31

my name is on this thread lol

cyteen · 26/08/2009 15:32

Get back to your kitchen, Portia-Lou!

dizzydixies · 26/08/2009 15:53

[meep]

GooseyLoosey · 26/08/2009 16:12

Why not "Glastonbury"? Or the name Glastonbury is though to be derived from the old name for the place which was "Glass mountain" This would have been Ynys Witrin (old english for glass mountain) or Caer Sidi in celti myth. Don't know if there are any possibilities there.

cyteen · 26/08/2009 16:18

Caer Sidi...Cassidy?

bellissima · 26/08/2009 16:47

(GooseyLoosey) - Ines Wittering? - Cary Sidi (Barani)?

sausagerolemodel · 26/08/2009 17:11

Sienna - (because its the colour of mud)

AnathemaDevice · 26/08/2009 17:23

Eve (short for Eavis)? Emily, after Emily Eavis? I'm trying to remember what all the camping fields are called but I can only remember Oxlyers and Pennards, which aren't really very girly...
I wanted to name DS something Glastonbury related (he was concieved there ) but DH wouldn't agree to it.

Slide (mud)

Some great suggestions! I'm looking for a random noun rather than a real name (had considered Emily though, or Arabella ).

lowrib DH (who is musical, I am not!) is very taken with Decibella

AD We came across a sweet boy called Somerset the year before last at the festival - no idea if he was a local or if it was a festival think though.

hahaha good thread. i always fall for them.

JBS75 · 27/08/2009 16:32

How about Vale or Circle?

Or Leyline (you could turn this into Layla for a proper name).

The nouns I think of when I think of Glastonbury are:

Field
Campfire
Sunrise
Cauldron
Cider (I love your Pear suggestion )
Thali
Ecstasy
Ferris wheel
Bubble
