I love it.

With a convincing French accent and sufficiently cute and chic appearance this is a great name, I really like it but wouldn't ever be brave enough to use it in the UK

MrsBadger · 13/08/2009 12:47

I like it, tis another name on the up IMO

but if DH hates it don't use it

back to square 1

Oh my darling oh my darling oh my daaaaaarrrling clementine! Sounds good though

skyward · 13/08/2009 13:30

I love it too but my dh hates it - very frustrating. He says it would be shortened to 'clemmie' whic he thinks sounds like clammy. mmmmm.

Nancy10 · 13/08/2009 13:37

I like Clemmie too! But I didn't think about Clammy!

To fit the song it has to be "tyne"

As in

In a cavern, in a canyon, excavating for a mine, lived a miner, 49er, and his daughter, Clementine.

Love it by the way.

I love this name and it was on the shortlist for my DD; I dropped it because a neighbour got it first -- and now they have moved away... I would have called her Clementine (the 'tyne' version). Reminds me of Clementine Churchill; I always admired her. And I thought the name went well with Churchill, although I don't know how she pronounced it.

Deffo the 'teen' way, and I absolutely adore it. Would have used it myself many years ago, but surname's Clarke so couldn't!
