I don't like it. Lexi on its own is nice but I would worry about it rhyming wih Sexy.

MamaLazarou · 13/07/2009 08:23

Mayleigh-Paige = awful, stupid, made-up name.

Demi-Leigh = atrocious. No-one pronounces Demi correctly - they all say it to rhyme with 'semi', in which case it would mean 'half'. So Demi-Leigh means 'half a Leigh'. I don't know if people like this name because of Demi Moore (whose name is an abbreviation of Demitria, therefore pronounced d'MEE) but it just sounds common.

Lexi-Paige is also awful.

Since you seem to like the name Paige, why not just have Paige? It's a lovely name on its own.

Scorpette · 13/07/2009 09:36

You could go for Marley/Marly, which is a v old English girl's name. It sounds similar and isn't made up. Marleigh-Paige sounds like it's out of an article in 'That's Life' magazine, sorry.

LucyMinter · 13/07/2009 09:42

Anything with a hyphen in the middle sounds like you are trying too hard.

Mayleigh is terrible, don't do it.
Paige is Ok
Lexi would be Ok as a nickname, you could call her Alexandra with Lexi for short or something.

Mammina · 13/07/2009 09:49

sorry no, don't like it at all, but Paige on its own is nice, as is Lexi as a NN for Alexandra/Alexia

No..don't like any of them
Paige by itself is ok

BunnyLebowski · 13/07/2009 13:56

I know someone who has actually called their little girl Lexus (known as Lexie)

KittyBigglesworth · 13/07/2009 15:12

Awful.

Momdeguerre · 13/07/2009 15:13

Really not keen on hyphens - always makes me think a parent could not make up their mind. ike Lexi as an abbrviation of Alexandra or even Alexus. Why not pick Paige as a middle name?

What about Lucas as a boys name? Sounds similar to 'Lexus' but it is not a brand of car. . ..

lotti89 · 13/07/2009 15:52

k thanks for the repiles, im goin call her paige cheers.

in case you're still here...
I saw a programme a while bach where the little girl was called Indi-Mo. I thought it was kind of cool.

ZippysMum · 13/07/2009 15:57

Back

MaggieBeeBeau · 13/07/2009 15:59

I'd like Indimo without the hyphen.

It's funny, in some cultures, lol the culture is the height of sophistication!

Mayleigh-Paige is a total car crash of a name!

Could be worse, could be Mayleigh-Mae.

ZippysMum · 13/07/2009 16:02

I suppose it could have not had a hyphen, I just assumed it did. Could have been Indi Mo or Indimo...

campion · 13/07/2009 18:55

Had a little Charliemai on the front of our local rag last week.

Pingpong · 13/07/2009 19:35

Sounds very American to me and not in a good way - sorry
