I would have said Nikita and Nadia but sadly I think you are right and it is actually India (gulp).

Those in the know pronounce the missing 'o' and 'i'.

N'dea I would pronounce Nadir. As in the lowest possible point. So I really wouldn't use that.

what is the point of a name that nobody knows how to pronounce? it's a bit like Prince getting carried away with his purple ego back in the day and calling himself a weird squiggle - and then being pissed off when nobody knew what to call him. What a twat. I imagine the parents of these children are similarly mentally challenged.

There is nothing wrong (if that's your bag) in giving a child an unconventional name but PLEASE spell it in a way that can be pronounced by 99% of the population, or else everyone will assume the parents are illiterate egocentric chavs who'd be better off adopting a puppy. How on earth will the poor kid feel when they start school and no-one know how to say their name?

Trust me. My London-born son has a very common Irish name spelt in the traditional Irish Gaelic way, which wouldn't raise an eyebrow Over The Water. But he is constantly ridiculed for having a "girl's" name by his classmates, and very few of his teachers ever pronounce or spell it correctly. Even family members and old friends get it wrong . It is becoming a real ishoo for him.

He wouldn't change his name for the world - but sometimes I really wish I'd ignored his Dad and called him Tom .

I would def feel like slapping.
However at least it quickly identifies the parents as stupid and pretentious without having to go through the usual channels

Prince changed his name to a squiggle back in the day because he was having on-going battles with his record label to do with copyright issues. It was actually a clever move at the time and was seen as political anti-big-business statement.
