My dh is Gordon and often gets called Gordy. I like it, but are you considering that as the name on the birth certificate?

TsarChasm · 21/05/2009 18:53

No. Makes me think of Gordon Brown.

rubyslippers · 21/05/2009 18:53

¿gordito?

as in 'fat little boy' in spanglish?

no

tigerdriver · 21/05/2009 21:36

Gaudy could be interesting provided you pronounced it the Oxford way (that is, Gor-dy). Cf Dorothy L Sayers: Gaudy Night.

LessThenIdeal · 21/05/2009 21:36

Hell No.

tigerdriver · 21/05/2009 21:38

On the other hand, Gaudy would really be a bonkers name for a child/adult/pet, unless they were very brightly coloured.

random · 21/05/2009 21:40

please no

differentID · 21/05/2009 21:40

no way.

Pingpong · 21/05/2009 22:02

okay so I'm in the minority so far but clearly there is an R in the middle of the word so WTF would you say 'Gaudy'?
