What do you think of Rosalie?
Am I jumping on the "twilight" bandwagon to much?
Im not sure... I kinda like it...
Why is it when I was pregnant with my DS I could think of loads of girls names but not boys? gah.

I like it.

I love Rosalind, though.

rubyslippers · 05/05/2009 19:08

hmm - having never read Twilight no idea of the association but am not madly keen TBH

Rosalind is prettier IMO

PrettyCandles · 05/05/2009 19:16

I don't know anything about 'twilight' but I like Rosalie.

I like all the 'Rose' names - Rose, Rosalie, Rosamund, Rosa - tho I wouldn't name a child Rosie, just use it as a nickname.

WinkyGirl · 05/05/2009 19:20

Not just Twilight, Agatha Christie's books are littered with similar names: Rosamund, Rosalie, Rosalind (which was also her daughter's name.) I noticed because DD was almost Rosamund.

Northernlurker · 05/05/2009 19:24

I've got a Rosalind - it's a lovely name

I like Rosalie too - don't know this twilight of which you speak - but Rosalie is a very pretty name for a child or an adult. Rosaline is pretty too - but she would have to keep spelling it. Or there's Rosalyn?

Baisey · 05/05/2009 19:25

Ive ran it by the DH and he likes it too, I just dont want to get comments about being a Twilight/robert pattinson fan and from these responses it doesnt look like I will!
Thanks!

I prefer Rosealia though not sure if that is how to spell it!

Knax · 05/05/2009 21:37

Nice, and rosie for short

lotspot · 06/05/2009 23:38

teenage girls will instantly think twilight...but how many teenage girls do you hang around with??
lol

its pretty but i struggle to get my tongue round it - no idea why, and im probably just tired!!

campion · 06/05/2009 23:49

I once taught a Roseanna and thought it was a lovely name.

Nekabu · 07/05/2009 09:06

Love it!

MrsMattie · 07/05/2009 09:07

I really like it. I also think Roseanna/Rosanna is lovely.

'Rose' names are generally lovely.

RachieB · 07/05/2009 09:29

Is it PNed

Rose - a - lee

or

Roz - a -lee

???

belgo · 07/05/2009 09:30

It's pronounced Roz - a -lee.

RachieB · 07/05/2009 09:58

hmm, not keen then

don't like Roz as a NN

In that case I prefer Rosa

MissisBoot · 07/05/2009 10:01

my friend pronounces it

rose - a - lee

MissisBoot · 07/05/2009 10:01

she is called rosalie

seeker · 07/05/2009 10:04

Rosalind is easier to say - and I think, nicer. What about Rosamund? Or Rosemary? You don't hear many of them nowadays?

My great great Aunt was called Rosaria.

girlandboy · 07/05/2009 10:06

I like it, but then I was always a fan of Rupert Bear here's Rosalie

slug · 07/05/2009 11:09

One of my sister's is a Rosalie. Lovely name.

MrsMattie · 07/05/2009 12:28

The only Rosalie I know says Rose-a-lee, not Roz-a-lee. Much nicer imo.

castille · 07/05/2009 12:32

I know two French Rosalies (pronounced Rose-a-lee, much nicer than Roz-a-lee). One is 3, the other is 83

discoball · 10/05/2009 00:05

I think "Rosalind" is great!! And it's still quite an uncommon name, which is nicer!!

Pingpong · 10/05/2009 15:44

I like Rosalie and Rosalind. I also have no idea about the twilight thing
