Hi there, Im currently penning a story in which the only clue to the young female protagonist's paternity is the fact that she was named after her biological father's adolescenthood/early adulthood moviestar love. Think Honey after Honey Rider [only that isn't workable in this instance.]

Not a baby name question, I admit, but I would love as many suggestions as possible regarding 60s/70s/80s female film character names. Preferably unusual ones, although nothing too out there, and is possible the reference can't be too obscure.

Thank you very much for all the input so far, ladies. I like Tiffany, Crackopenthebailys, but it is a tad too popular to use here. Really it needs to be unusual enough for somebody to say "ohhh [name] as in [name] from [film]. Thank you, though.

Sexier ladies then! What about Gypsy Rose Lee (could use part of the name - Natalie Wood film) or looking at some of the characters that Ava Gardner played like Maria The Barefoot Countessa. What character did Britt Ekland play in the Dolce Vita again?

screamingabdab · 05/05/2009 19:14

Marnie - Alfred Hitchcock film, but can't remember which one (may even have been called Marnie)

staylucky · 05/05/2009 20:59
