What do you think of these names, and what middle names would you put with them? And which do you think would go well as sisters?

Ideas I have:
Jemima Alice
Jemima Clementine
Alice Lucinda Rose
Alice Jemima Rose
Lucinda Beatrix Rose
Lucinda Clementine
Tabitha Cecily Rose

Any more suggestions very welcome. Thank you.

duh, sorry meant middle name choice depends on surame lol

imnotyourmother · 13/02/2009 16:11

Jemima Cecily, my DD2!

ScattyStudent · 13/02/2009 16:12

I love Tabitha

Karamazov · 14/02/2009 18:16

From your list, I love Jemima - Its classic, beautiful sounding, normal name without being overly popular.

Tabitha reminds me of a cat I'm afraid - and I'm sure other people would also think this (so would it bother you if people thought 'cat' when they met your daughter???)

Alice is nice, but somewhat boring - perhaps use it as a middle name??

Lucinda, just seems a bit too try hard for me. Prefer Lucy (unusally for me, as I don't normally like -ie/y endings on names!)

I think Jemima Alice sounds nice!

Astrophe · 15/02/2009 07:57

I prefer Lucy or Lucia to Lucinda, agree it sounds a bit 'hard'. Also Beatrix - I prefer Beatrice, which sounds and looks prettier. I love the shortening 'Bea/Bee' too.

Not as keen on Tabitha and Jemima, although they are ok. Alice is pretty.

SamsMama · 15/02/2009 08:02

I like them all except I'm not overly fond of Tabitha. I think Beatrix is adorable, and I agree with Astrophe that Bee/Bea is a cute nickname.

Nicki10 · 15/02/2009 18:41

I like Jemima and Tabitha but I love Beatrix and think Bea is so cute when they are younger

SilentTerror · 15/02/2009 18:49

Jemima beautiful, classic and not over used, imo. But I am biased

Podrick · 15/02/2009 18:52

I think you will be branding your daughters with a class tattoo - which will be fine if you send them to private schools but might be unhelpful in the state sector imo

SamsMama · 15/02/2009 21:14

Excuse an American's lack of knowledge about UK education, won't you? Are your state schools like our public ones here? I assume so. Do most students go to state schools or private ones?

Sorry, I know that's not what the thread's about. I was just wondering.
