what can Mimi be short for?

I've always wanted a daughter called Cosima, shortened to Mimi, but DH's surname is an object so "Cos I'm a..." is out. any suggestions what else Mimi could be short for, because he's not keen on just Mimi. HELP!!

My Great grandmother was always called Mimi Her name was Mary Eliza so her initials were M.E. Over time, her siblings called her ME Me and eventually, she was just called Mimi.

What I mean is that even names that aren't traditionally shortened to Mimi, might end up as Mimi.
