Aurelia - would you pronounce it "Au-REH-lia" or "Au-REE-lia" ?

Other options we're (well, I'm) considering: Matilda - getting too popular now?, Kerenza, Milena and Cassia, amongst others.

Is Oleda too odd?

I like Aurelia, I knew one who was another 'ray' pronunciation.

I think it's better than the others. Oleda sounds like shampoo, Milena sounds like contraception...actually Cassia is nice, and I know a Kerensa, she's lovely.

My leen a?

no, that's worse. I hate that woman

cyteen · 20/11/2008 22:21

No, it's Mi-LAY-na as far as I know.

Flightattendant4 · 21/11/2008 06:29

ah. as in Mirena. ahem.

I couldn't, I'm sorry!

But Aurelia is a great name - go for it.

See, I always thought that was pronounced mi-REE-na. You learn something new every day!

Flightattendant4 · 21/11/2008 11:34

Oh maybe it is!

But even so. There is the potential for confusion....as I have demonstrated

I love Milena, but then I have an ongoing love affair with the film Shag
