very few have seen it!

cos it's a radio show.

FangolinaJolly · 19/10/2008 20:36

The Archers music was the first thing that crossed my mind too,I'm afraid.

janeite · 19/10/2008 20:38

I thought of Jeffrey - it was not a pleasant thought, sorry.

Trafficcone · 19/10/2008 20:44

LOVE Archer!

LaDiDaDi · 19/10/2008 20:47

I like it, I suggested it to Franny on her mammoth babynames thread. She liked it too iirc but her dh siad "Jeffrey" which put both of us off any future use lol.

littlewhitebull · 19/10/2008 21:16

Lol Puppymonkey, I was just about to do the same but in "dee dee dees"!

OP, Archer brings to mind 1. A certain rural soap opera on radio 4 and 2. A certain not so honourable ex-lord and ex-con.

Let's just say it's not my cup of tea.

branflake81 · 21/10/2008 12:20

It's a drink. And not a very nice one at that. Don't do it.

Dragonbutter · 21/10/2008 12:21

i quite like it. but i'm a fan of those sorts of names...sawyer, fisher, hunter etc

bossykate · 21/10/2008 12:24

tum ti tum ti tum ti tum tum ti tum ti tuuuuum tum.

oh i see mb got there before me

bossykate · 21/10/2008 12:25

and pruners

LuLuBai · 21/10/2008 12:38

First thought Jeffrey, followed swiftly by Dum Dee Dum de Dum de Dum (sorry I'm hopeless at singing -it doesn't sound anything like that)

moonincancer · 21/10/2008 13:48

great for a saggitarius

chandellina · 21/10/2008 16:24

i like it. makes me think of The Age of Innocence. (Edith Wharton book). though his surname was Archer.

runnyhabbit · 21/10/2008 16:29

I love it.

It's my maiden name, and I'd wished I'd have thought of the idea of naming one of the ds it.

and it would've gone so well with our surname

runnyhabbit · 21/10/2008 16:31

Unlikely they'll get teased in school, (I never did) because none of their friends will have heard of The Archers, jeffrey, or the drink.

pramspotter · 23/10/2008 11:34

Well Dh is saying its either going to be Abraham, Abram, or Archer. I think Archer is growing on me. We can't agree on names at all. I'll probably just call him Baby Boy.

FlirtyThirty · 23/10/2008 14:49

Schnapps anyone?

barnsleybelle · 23/10/2008 15:01

I love Abram... not keen on Archer tbh.

pramspotter · 23/10/2008 16:16

I could shorten Abram to Bram I guess.....

travellingwilbury · 23/10/2008 16:21

I like Archer and nobody in the school playground is going to tease because of the connections we have all made .

pramspotter · 23/10/2008 16:22

I'm going to have to google this Jeffrey Archer person.

OP did you call your baby Archer? Just been searching for this name as we've chose it for our son a month ago

HaveIGotPoosForYou · 10/07/2013 22:22

How about Archie?
Aidan?
Ashton?
Ashley?

NeedSomeSun142 · 10/07/2013 22:25
