Hmmm, yes but I don't think David is old fashioned OR quirky.

Yes, my brother is called David as well. My ex-boyfriend's brother was also called David adn I used to work with a couple of Davids.

Don't know any other children called David though.

Oh, and it's David NOT Dave!

Peachy · 09/10/2008 14:07

Well es but alll the dave's I know are David, but choose Dave, iyswim?

I think with name its just already popular in the population as a whole

Actually I seriosuly liked David, just didnt because so many in my family- bet not just me!

I know an adult Richenda. First time I had ever heard of it.

I know at least one child called each of the following: Felicity, Iris, Paul, Kenneth, Alan, Gideon, Mark and Sean.

lol at otter

and TBH you cna have a perfectly standard boring toilet going name (channels Ab FAb) and still people will get it wrong. I've been called all sorts of things and I have a very run of the mill name. I don't actually think DD will have to resay/spell hers any more often than I have to

Beelzebub?
Adolf?
Taramasalata?

Colin is perceived as being 'ugly' because it's a forty somthing name. No names seem as bad to us as the names of our own generation or a bit older than us.
