Can't decide! Really like Abby, not s sure on Abigail DH really likes it. Think I like Elizabeth - has many shortening options. What do you think?

I have an Abigail

Never heard anyone call her Gail ever.. (glad as i dont like it that much)

Shes known as Abigail. My mum started calling her Abbie when she was first born but as we always call her Abigail she got the hint and doesnt say it anymore.
She can choose Abbie when shes older if she wants to.

Abigail is much lovelier. Abi or Abs for short. Great name.

Important how you spell Abi though. Abi very classy all the others definately not!

Elizabeth is my choice - so many abbreviations and always classic

I have an Abigail and no one has ever said 'gail'. I think it is a fab name!
We call her Abi for short (made sense to drop the 'gail' when shortening it rather than make up a whole new name and spelling with Abby/Abbie) but she actually prefers to call herself 'Abigail' when she introduces herself.
I'm a bit like that with my name - introduce myself with my whole name but everyone always ends up calling me by the shortened version.

I love the name Abigail, I think it is so beautiful.

Elizabeth.

Don't dislike Abigail (though do prefer Abbie/Abby) just prefer Elizabeth and Beth for short.

Elizabeth is a beautiful name and has so many really lovely nicknames associated with it.

Don't really like Abigail. I think it's a bit 80s, if that makes any sense.

Abigail means 'Fathers Joy' thats nice. Does have certain connotations due to Salem Witch trials - very slight though.......
