Good name. Very popular these days, though.

RiversC · 01/10/2008 18:50

Reminds me of the character from magic roundabout x

Squirdle · 01/10/2008 19:01

Lovely name! Tis ds3's name tho so I may be slightly biased. I don't think it's an overly popular name, not like Jack or Thomas and the like.

dinkymum · 03/10/2008 18:44

at first I didnt like it but it started to grow on me more and more to the point I might even consider it myself!

Charlee · 03/10/2008 18:48

My friend has a really cute little boy named Dylan.

frazzledoldbag34 · 03/10/2008 18:55

Not keen . Sorry

JuneBugJen · 03/10/2008 18:57

Ok but overused.

Its been a bit done to death since Brandon and Dylan from Bev Hills 90210 and then Pam Anderson had one.

TheFallenMadonna · 03/10/2008 18:57

um....

Cadbury · 03/10/2008 18:57

not keen as there are loads of Dylans and even a few Dillons around

notsoteenagemum · 03/10/2008 19:04

I loved Dylan then my welsh friend had it but pronounced Dullan in welsh now I only like it said Dullan not Dillan.

Majeika · 03/10/2008 19:05

not keen

PeppermintPatty · 03/10/2008 19:06

Dylan is a lovely name

pointydog · 03/10/2008 19:13

I like it. Don't care if it's become very popular.

pointydog · 03/10/2008 19:14

and having said it's popular, there aren't actually that many of them in my neck of the woods.

artichokes · 03/10/2008 19:15

I like it even though it is now very popular. DH reckons it is a but "chav" now (sorry, his words, not mine) but I disagree. Reminds me of Bob Dylan and Dylan Thomas.

pointydog · 03/10/2008 19:21

It is a name that has crossed the classes, true - I was waiting for someone to come up with 'chav'.

I used to know one rather posh couple (the bloke taught in a good private school, doncha know ) who called their son Dylan. After Dylan Thomas natch.

edam · 03/10/2008 19:21

It's my nephew's name so I rather approve... (am half-Welsh). Prefer Welsh pronunciation to English.

Its ds's name, and it was always gonna be dylan due to me and dh being huge bob dylan fans ! Not too popular in my area, loads more Jacks and Harrys etc, and I don't think its chav at all.

saintvicsta · 03/10/2008 23:13

pronounced Dull'un round here (Wales Obv!) be careful if you don't like this. Or, if your not likely to encounter many welsh go with it (I actually like it pronounced Dillun)

Servalan · 03/10/2008 23:53

Love it! DD would have been Dylan if she had been born a boy

Miyazaki · 03/10/2008 23:59

I like.

MrsMattie · 04/10/2008 10:21

Nice but incredibly common
