Would be a sister for Ellie and Finley.
What do you think? Other ideas welcome.
thanks

Leona is OK, but sounds a bit too much as if it's after the singer. Which of course is fine if it is, but might grate otherwise. Leonie could be a nice alternative?

FranSanDisco · 28/09/2008 13:58

I also prefer Leonie.

Beloune · 11/07/2010 20:02

I love Leona and am thinking of it for my baby girl...Leonice is lovely too(it is french and pronounced"leoneece"..

mathanxiety · 11/07/2010 20:05

Much prefer Leonie or Leonora. Leona is dated and not in a good way, imo.

sallyseton · 11/07/2010 20:06

Really not to my taste I'm afraid. But that's just me.

SiriusStar · 11/07/2010 22:34

I have always prefered Leonie.

CapitalText · 11/07/2010 23:12

I like it. Also like Leonora, Lianna, Laura and Louisa.

MrsBadger · 11/07/2010 23:14

I know a Leona, a Leonie and (which I prefer but have never heard elsewhere) a Leora

jellybeans · 12/07/2010 09:35

FelicityFoxton · 04/09/2014 10:16

My grans middle name was leonia which I like. I went for Leoni as a middle name for my dd though

ChickenMe · 04/09/2014 12:24

I prefer Leonie too I just think it sounds fresher; Leona sounds a bit cumbersome.

Appletini · 06/09/2014 09:22

I love Leona but the singer has kind of ruined it. Leonora is nice.
