Bloody men!!

For ages we have decided to call baby either Toby or Sebastian. Now I have asked him a million times for other suggestions but he has come up with NOTHING!!!

Now after talking to some random woman at work he has decided he LOVES the name Christian/Kristian and wants to call the baby this. Talk about last minute!!!

Now I don't dislike the name but my heart is set on Toby and even though I like Christian I don't like the thought of it being shortened to Chris.

So, any opinions on Christian???

Oh, but everyone shortens his name to Chris (apart from grandmothers - one calls him Chrissiekins )

I love the name Sebastian and would have named ds that in a flash but DH said it sounded like bastard

Toby is nice - have you considered Tobias with Toby as nn?

Toby gets my vote. DP is called Toby and is very tall and handsome(IMO!). There's not that many about and can't be easily corrupted, apart from Tobes. All the Christians I've met have been a bit 'special' and verging on the drippy.

Definitely agree with dittany- you'll get your way once LO arrives! good luck x

Not Christian.

I always think if as "a follower of Christ".

I think the thing that gets to me more than anything is the fact that i'm sure that at some point i'll want to shorten the name - I do tend to do this particularly with babies. i cannot think of another shortening for christian apart from Chris and I really, really don't like that as people will think i've called baby christopher.

think i just won't mention names to dh again until tomorrow when hopefully he'll have to be so nice to me he'll give in. I got my way last time - lol.

Dont worry about it, you will get the final say anyway!
He cannot deny you that, once you've brought his perfect baby into the world!
(personally I like Sebastian!)

Love the name Christian

HW
Good luck today

Yes, good luck

And... you know the argument to end them all, don't you? Apart from the fact that you're the one giving birth - presumably this child is going to carry dh's family name/surname? So only fair that you get to choose the other one!
