Expecting DC3 and getting excited about names. What do you think?

claudia

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/09/2008 21:23

Looks like Claudia is a definite favorite then?
As I've said before though, why aren't there more of them around if everyone likes it? Strange, non?.......

I really like Claudia. I really like Esther as well but i can't get Madonna out my head with it now.

empressorchid · 07/09/2008 21:28

Hermione definitely, not sure about the boys names (bit of a traditionalist me) but they all sound good.

I love Claudia.

For some reason we changed our minds at the last minute, though.

I like Hermione, but not quite as much.

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/09/2008 21:31

Lynette - so did we! DD2 was ALWAYS Claudia, until she was born and we looked at her and said 'nope' . Very odd, but I do still love the name and so does DH.....

The weirdest thing frazzled, is that I was pregnant with Claudia, but have someone else now!

ja9 · 07/09/2008 21:37

really don't like hermione. it's not 'girly' enough...

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/09/2008 21:38

OOOh Lynette, what's your Claudia called now?
It's not Flora is it?

OP posts:
LynetteScavo · 07/09/2008 21:45

No, not Flora, Amelia.

If I'd known how popular it was going to become, I might have gone for something else, but it does suit her.

frazzledoldbag34 · 07/09/2008 21:47

Amelia is lovely, I only know of one - she is three and she is a darling.

Of the names sugested, I'd say any apart from Scarlett (always makes me think of Captain Scarlet), Bay (is a herb, not a name) or Blake (don't get me started on using surnames as first names).

3andnomore · 08/09/2008 10:31

my sister is a Claudia (Clou-dee-ah....german pronounciation)....always preferred her name over my own....

Hermione...not to keen

dizzydixies · 08/09/2008 10:38

I like Claudia but not the meaning so we went for Cordelia instead

stillstanding · 08/09/2008 10:40

I prefer Hermione. Think a lovely name and while some people wont know how to pronounce suspect HP will have helped with that.

Not so keen on Claudia. And I dont think you will avoid the pronunciation probs with it as there are different ways to pronounce it. I know a Cloud-ia and a Claude-ia.

3andnomore · 08/09/2008 10:40

dizzy...had to have a look for the meaning...erm....it means "lame"...nice...think I am not all that unhappy now with my own name

dizzydixies · 08/09/2008 10:42

sorry 3andnomore

its still an exceptionally pretty name if that helps?

LazyLinePainterJane · 08/09/2008 10:47

frazzled, I agree! I am always seeing people on here talk about how much they love Claudia....but yet I have never ever ever met one!

I always liked Hermione and would not normally let a connotation put me off, but Potter is massive, too big to overcome I think.

3andnomore · 08/09/2008 11:03

oh no...it's great...like I said I always wanted my sister and me to change names (so to say...)...but now am not unhappy that I am NOT Claudia...

steviesgirl · 08/09/2008 22:13

I prefer Claudia.

ethanchristopher · 12/09/2008 22:52
