Elton?

Not even pregnant yet - well possibly but DH and I don't like ANY boys names enough to use and DH last night suggested ELTON. Initially I laughed and dismissed it, but you know what, it's actually growing on me.........any thoughts ???

I mean noooo but kind of 'yes!' too - I know what you mean about the growing thing (and I've only been considering it for a few minutes).

trouble is, it's hard not to think that Elton John kind of owns the name but maybe it's time to prise it away from him

although Elton is actually Reginald isn't he (and that's not good)

I have a friend called Elton. It took a bit of getting used to but actually I quite like it.

Frazzled - now, I'm a wizened onld crone who's past child bearing, but I have been around enough children and their parents these past twelve years to know that a child called Elton has a lot resting on his shoulders.

Hamish is actually quite common in Scotland - well not common common, but not weird enough to raise any eyebrows. Depends where you are though, might not play out so well in other parts of the country.

The only Elton I actually know (inexplicably, Elton and David don't invite me to their parties) is a laydee.

You might want to try other unusual names such as Elvis or maybe Jesus????
