I am in my late thirties but I'm not picking up on the comedy show. ?

LongLiveCuckoo · 20/08/2008 18:05

Right. He lived at home in his 40s. Remember it.

AbbeyA · 21/08/2008 08:39

I like it, but unless you shorten it you need to remember that a lot of DCs have trouble saying 'th' and so you will get Timoffy or Timossy!

Botbot · 21/08/2008 08:41

My brother got called 'moth' at school. As a proper nickname. That shows some inventiveness, I think.

hw2004 · 21/08/2008 13:07

No, it just sounds really wet to me which is never good on a boy!!

mrsfossil · 21/08/2008 17:00

Oh nooooooooo
What if he ends up a 6 foot rugby player! Timothy suits a baby up to 6 months.

DontCallMeBaby · 21/08/2008 17:09

I am SO sending my brother round to have words with you lot that think it sounds wet or suited only for babies.

MrsMattie · 21/08/2008 17:10

It's got to be one of my least favourite names ever. It just has horribly wet, dopey connotations for me.

ByTheSea · 21/08/2008 18:24

I like it and I've known some lovely blokes with that name over the years, including a close friend. I don't think I've ever met a Timothy I didn't like.

dinkymum · 30/08/2008 22:12

i dont usually comment negatively on names and lurk quite a lot too but had to say No to this one, both on the name itself and from experience of any Timothy/Tim i've ever met.
Sorry

lilolilmanchester · 30/08/2008 22:14
