Ted is Edward, isn't it? I can't think of shortened version of Bruno.

frazzledoldbag34 · 01/08/2008 21:04

Sorry no, don't think you can.
Bru possibly but probably not.

Bruners

mummyloveslucy · 01/08/2008 21:12

I had a dog called Bruno!, Sorry. He was gorgeous, but you can't shorten that name. I don't see why you would want to shorten it anyway.

hester · 01/08/2008 21:13

I've got two Brunos in my family. Never heard of it being shortened. Why would you want to?

Bru is short for Irn Bru (or tea).

I like Bruno though.

I call him Bruners or Broonz.

frazzledoldbag34 · 01/08/2008 21:18

Nice usage! I like it......and will make a point of using it whenever possible

cyteen · 01/08/2008 21:19

Bru. I know a girl called Bruna and this is what her name is commonly shortened to.

Sparkletastic · 01/08/2008 21:19

I wouldn't shorten it.

frazzledoldbag34 · 01/08/2008 21:21

Bruna?
Oh no. That's along the lines of Malcolmina and the likes. Scary.
Also sounds Butch.

QueenBhannae · 01/08/2008 21:27

Ah yes, I wouldn't shorten it but he keeps getting Bru! I just wondered what everyone else outside my immediate family would shorten it to.
Up here bru means a drink of tea! lol

Yes there are many dogs called Bruno and quite a few called Rachel and Paula

Ted> Teddy bear> Bruno Bear--> Bruno (clutching at straws maybe? )

cyteen · 02/08/2008 13:49

frazzled - she's Brazilian, apparently it's quite common there. Not a name I'd choose (but then neither is Bruno) but as is so often the case, she makes it work

CuckooClockWorkShy · 02/08/2008 18:57

Boo! (until he's 3)

Loriycs · 02/08/2008 22:21

Uno???????? though i wouldn't personally

nappyaddict · 04/08/2008 01:23
